Portugal: In very city and village there is a treasure of old buildings and doors with peeling paint and windows with tattered curtains, in a range of colours, all accented with deep shadow....a feast for the eyes. Now I am back in The Netherlands, finded that 'faded beauty' is a bit more of a challenge.

In my view one of the most beautiful paintings I made from doors: composition, combination from old and new, colours and materials. It was perfect.

Green Door in São Bras

São Bras, the village famous for his Frango Piri Piri, roasted chicken. But also for the beautiful details you can find there.

The String, São Bras

No locks on the door, just a string and done.
